Location : Shingeum-ri, Okgok-myeon, Gwangyang-city, Jeonnam-do, Korea
This project is to replace the existing blind gate with the pump gate system at the site of the retention
reservoir neighboring the seawater. Flap gate is also included in the scope of replacement.
Due to the shortage of budget, the completion of the project was delayed by three years.
Rebar work for the floor is performed at the site with the existing blind gates in the background.
Four sets of bottom beam are positioned as the first step of guide frame installation.
Upper beam is installed as the last step of guide frame installation.
Actuator is installed at the top of the test bench in order to show the lifting capability.
Pump test is performed at the manufacturer's test shop for the performance test.
Pump is mounted on the flange of the gate leaf by bolt tightening.
Heavy crane is lifting an actuator in order to install at the top of concrete structure.
Local control panel is lifted to be installed at the top platform of the structure.
Flap gate was installed in order to prevent the seawater from flowing back when high tide.
The existing flap gates are replaced with the new one at the opposite across the road just in
front of the pump station.

HASUH Pump Gate®, completed in Yeomseong-ri/ Songkok-ri, Yeomchi-eup, Asan-city,Choongnam-do, Korea

: Ф1,200mm x 200cmm x 4.0mH x 3ea
Contract Period : 2012. 03. 05 ~ 09. 21
Location : Yeomseong-ri/ Songkok-ri, Yeomchi-eup, Asan-city, Choongnam-do, Korea
Excavation is performed as the first civil work at the site.
Three sets of bottom beam are installed for guide frame at Yeomseong.
Three sets of upper beam are installed for guide frame at Yeomseong.
All the data are displayed on the monitor during pump performance test at manufacturer's
test shop for Factory Acceptance Test.
Gate leaf for mounting two pumps is installed along the guide frame at Songkok.
Actuator is lifted down on the top of the structure at Songkok.
Local control panel is installed at the top platform of concrete structure at Songkok.

Location : Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Korea
Earth retaining wall is erected in order to prevent the earth from collapsing at the site.
Two sets of bottom beam are positioned as the first step of guide frame installation.
Side beam is installed as the second step of guide frame installation.
Upper beam is installed as the final step of guide frame installation.
Concrete structure is exposed with the concrete form removed after curing period.
Piers for subway stand in the river at the right of the picture. Terrace land extends widely along
the river. Heavy crane is seen extending the boom by the concrete structure for pump gate in the
middle. Large buildings stand in the higher elevation along the terrace land.
The front view of the concrete structure for the pump gate is seen under the bridge for the
subway from the opposite side of the river.
The above is the view from the top of pump gate structure. The waterway from the discharge
of the pump gate is partially covered for the passing of people and vehicles on the terrace land.
Pier and river are seen at the upper left corner.
Gate leaf for mounting two pumps is lifted for the installation.
The left gate leaf has only one pump and the right has two pumps. Flap valves are mounted at
the outlet of the pumps.

Actuator is installed at test bench to show the capability to lift as specified in the technical
specification.
Heavy crane is about to lift the pump gate for the installation at the concrete structure.
Actuator is installed at the top of the concrete structure platform.
The top is roofed with a transparent blue round canopy from aesthetic standpoint considering
the site location by the apartment complex.
The front view shows the local control panel/ actuator/ canopy at the top, the spindles to
connect the actuator to pump gate in the middle and pump gate/ hand rail for the safety
at the bottom.
