HASUH Pump Gate®, completed in Tongbok-dong, Pyeongtaek-city,Gyeonggi-do, Korea

This project is composed of the two (2) hinged pump gates construction to increase the discharging capacity of the existing conventional pump station and one (1) hinged pump gate application to the existing retarding reservoir at some distance to the above pump station.

     The above map shows that the existing pump station and the retarding reservoir  are adjoining the
      identical main river as a downstream.

   The building in the middle is the existing pump station. Four (4) outlets with flap valve on the wall
   of the pump house continue to play the role of discharging. The existing vertical operation actuators
   at the right/ left of the pump house will keep the blind gate open after the completion of this project.
The open/ close function of the flow will be played by the newly installed hinged pump gate. The
two concrete structure for the newly installed pump gate are seen adjoining the main stream.       
 
Hinged gate is connected at the pivot for the swing operation.
 
 
Pump is lowered for the mounting on the hinged gate.    
 
    Structure for the hinged pump gate is ereted at the retarding reservoir. The existing bank seperating
   the retarding reservoir and the main river had only concrete tunnel for the natural flow without gate.
 
 
     Screen is erected for the safe pump operation at the inlet of the hinged pump gate of the retarding   reservoir.                                                                                                                                        
 
 
 
Hydraulic power unit is installed in order to supply the hydraulic power to the cylinder for the open/ close operation of the hinged pump gate as an actuator.                                                                       
 
 
The side view shows the screen, hinged pump gate and the hydraulic cylinder at the retarding
reservoir.                                                                                                                                    
 
 
 The above shows the two hinged pump gates at the open position with the existing conventional

HASUH Pump Gate®, completed in Sora-myeon, Yeosu-city,Jeonnam-do, Korea

Project               : Duckyang Pump Station
Pump Capacity  : Ф600mm x 45cmm x 3.7mH x 2ea
Contract Period : 2006. 11. 08 ~ 2007. 11. 19
Location            : Sora-myeon, Yeosu-city, Jeonnam-do, Korea

Pump gate site is just next to Duckyang Railroad Station in the rural area.
Civil work starts with the sheet piles installed to prevent landslide.         
 
 
Bottom beam of guide frame is positioned at its designed location keeping
the horizontality and perpendicularity with accurate leveling survey.        
 
  
Construction stage is in the process of rebar work for concrete floor and wall.
 
 
Side beams and upper beams for guide frame are erected on the bottom beams.
 
                                
Rotary screen is installed at the inlet of pump gate for safe pump operation.
 
 
Pump gate is lowered for the installation.
 
 
Actuator is lowered at the top of the structure.
 
 
 
Local control panel is positioned at its location.
 
 
 
Flap gate is installed at the downstream of pump gate in order to prevent
                       seawater from flowing back at high tide.

HASUH Pump Gate®, completed in Joongma-dong, Gwangyang-city, Jeonnam-do, Korea

Normally the type of opening/ closing movement of pump gate by actuator is vertical operation. However, if overpass runs next to the pump gate site or the site condition requires the utilization of the space under the vehicle road, the design can not allow the vertical operation of pump gate. In addition, the vertical operation cann't be applied in order to avoid disturbing the skyline to the place where aesthetic appreciation of the landscape is respected.
 
Pivotal swing operation of pump gate can be the best solution to the above difficult cases. As overpass runs next to this Joongma pump station site, the vertical movement of pump gate cann't be applied. Pivotal swing operation by the actuator with hydraulic cylinder was introduced to this project for the first time.
 
                       As overpass runs just next to the pump station site, the vertical operation
                        of pump gate cann't be applied to this project.
 
 
Guide frames are erected at their positions for the civil concrete work.
 
 
Pump test is performed to confirm the discharge capacity at the manufacturer's
                   factory during the factory acceptance test.               
                                          
 
Hydraulic power unit is installed as an actuator to open/ close the pump gate.
 
 
Pump is mounted on the gate leaf before the integrated pump gate is installed.
 
 
         Hydraulic cylinder connects the integrated pump gate and the hydraulic power unit.
        
 
Rotary screen is installed at the inlet of pump gate for the safe pump operation
                   by filtering debris.                                                                                          
 
                                                           
   Flap gate is installed across the road at the downstream in order to prevent 
                       sea water from flowing back into the pump gate system.    
 
                    
Trial operation of pump gate is performed to confirm the smooth operation.
 
 
The side view shows the three sets of hydraulic cylinder connecting the hydraulic  
                power unit and the pump gate.

Location            : Gang-dong, Ghimhae-city, Gyeongnam-do, Korea

Civil work starts with the excavation at the site.
 
 
Concrete work is composed of two stages. Main structure is exposed with
concrete form demolished after the completion of stage #1 concrete work.
 
 
Inspection is performed for the actuator during factory acceptance test.
 
 
Pump performance test is performed at the manufacturer's factory
                             during factory acceptance test.                   
                                  
 
Bottom beam is positioned before the stage #2 concrete work.
 
 
Guide frame is positioned before the stage #2 concrete work.
 
 
Surface of the bottom beam is shown after the drying of the stage #2
                           concrete work.
 
 
Roller gate is lifted from the trailer in order to be installed at the guide frame. 
 
 
Pump is mounted on the roller gate by bolt tightening work.
 
 
  Actuator is lowered cautiously to be installed on the base frame. 
 
 
Rotary screen is installed at the inlet of pump gate for the safe pump operation
by filtering the debris.                                                                                      
 
 
Spindles connecting the actuator and pump gate are shown at the left and
control panel & platform for rotary screen are shown at the right.

HASUH Pump Gate®, completed in Gimhae-city, Gyeongnam-do, Korea

Project               : Andong Pump Station
Pump Capacity  : Ф1,350mm x 240cmm x 5mH x 5ea
                           : Ф1,000mm x 120cmm x 5mH x 1ea
Contract Period : 2007. 08. 30 ~ 2009. 02. 20
Location            : Bulam-dong, Ghimhae-city, Gyeongnam-do, Korea

                           Concrete form is attached to the guide frame set prior to the concrete
                           pouring in order to provide the pump gate with a vertical movement
                           way on which rollers on both sides run.





Actuator is installed at the top of the test bench to show its lifting capacity
during the factory acceptance test.                                                             
 
 
Submersible pump is now under the performance test at the manufacturer's
                      factory during the factory acceptance test.       
                                             
 
         Roller gate is lifted for the installation on the guide frame after the main       
structure is made.                                                                                  
 
 
   Pump is lowered in order to be mounted on the roller gate.      
 
 
Actuator is lowered to be positioned on the base frame.
 
 
Rotary screen is installed in order to guarantee the safe pump operation
by filtering the debris at the inlet flow to the pump.                  
           
 
Civil work is made for the floor at the outlet drainage way.
 
 
Inspection for the pump gate is performed for the final check.
 
 
Test for the local control panel is performed to confirm the correct  
operation of the controlling & monitoring for pump and actuator. 
 
 
The rear view shows the pump station from the outlet of the drainage way.
